CVL-HYC-CVMO Wednesday Night Series 2006
Here is Pierre's report on the conclusion of the Spring series on LDM. It's just great to get the scoop on the competition going on there. Personally, I can't wait for when LDM, LSL, and Ottawa boats get to race all together, either at the Montreal One Design, or Hudson...
Spring series results
The CVL-HYC-CVMO Wednesday night series consists of 15 races divided into 2 series. It brings together all the racers from these 3 Clubs every Wednesday night from May until September. The Spring Series (7 races) ended with the July 5th race. The race results from the LDM Wednesday nights series with CNDM were compiled but excluded CNDM boats from the standings. The 5 best results where taken from the 7 races sailed. A total of 40 boats participated in the 2 classes.
In the PHRF 3 & WS class, the CVL Tanzer 22 Twins (Patrice Delhaes’ Turbo and Pierre Marois’ Coquine) where first and second, a point apart. Third went to Bernard LeDuc’s T22, Maverick. In fourth was Michel Ouellet’s T22, Tohu Bohu. Fifth went to Chris Campbell’s T22, Shigawac.
In the PHRF 1&2 class, Allan Gray’s Etchells Slim dominated racing with 5 wins in 5 races to take first in the standings. Second was taken by Ron Harris’s J22 Jazz, third by Ross Tellier’s Niagara 26 Red Coat and fourth by Serge Bouthillier’s J29 Chevalier Mythic.
