Final Results from Trillium

The final results have been posted and the RCYC folk were very prompt about it. The first stop on the Shark Class One design circuit took place in Toronto and had an impressive turn out of 42 boats. Tof Nicoll-Griffith's team on Crisis were the highest placed Montreal team finishing in 12th overall. They were one point out of 1st yesterday. Today, they scored 15th, 22nd, and 20th in the 3 final races, which set them further back. Way to go, Paul, William, and the Wolf, 31st overall, who brought Sudden Impulse across the line in 19th position for the final race, their best of the weekend. Skippers Frati and Andersen combined talents on Blue Shark along with Muradali finishing just ahead in 30th overall. Podium places were:

  1. Eager For More, Greg Cockburn, Peter Eagar, John Fraser
  2. Duck Soup, John Dakin, Dakin, Dakin
  3. Frankly Scarlett, Jeff Mitchell, Davis, Fricker

So now it's the Canadian Championships at BYC next. Yikes, that is only 2 weeks away! I just got my Shark,  #901 out of the driveway and to the club last night. Rigging, crew, and hopefully a little practice all still to work out. I am not the only one with some issues however. The DNF scored by VO2 Max in the last GNS race was due to their mast coming down! A new one is being prepared by Masthead in Niagara on the Lake.
