Shark World Championship in Austria

The favourites of Montreal Sailing, Jin Frati and crew Nicole Hainault and Paolo Teatini have had two excellent races, but their overall score is being hampered by a DNF and an OCS. They have a 15th and 16th finishes out of the 47 entries, so they are sailing well. There are a good contingent of Canadian entries from Ontario as well. In 1st overall is a German team skippered by Horst Rudorffer with three bullets out of 4 races so far. 2nd overall is held by Greg Cockburn from RCYC. 3rd overall is held down by Johan Koppernaes from NSC. In 4th is Rodney Smith from RCYC.

Challenge Niagara 26 Québec Les 23 et 24 juin 2007

Once again this year, David Godin and CNDM are hosting a one design regatta for the Niagara 26 class on Lac Des Deux-Montagnes. Registration can be done up to the morning of the regatta, and there is NO REGISTRATION FEE! Racers can bring their own picnic or BBQ for post-racing on Saturday, and prizes will be awarded Sunday. Up for grabs is the N26 Challenge trophy, meant to be a mark of skill, and to be proudly displayed at the winner's Yacht Club for one year, then brought back to CNDM the following year to be put back in to play.

Last year's flat out winner, Kif Kif from CNDM is already waxing his keel in preperation. Race instructions will be posted on CNDM's web site shortly at www.cndm.qc.ca. All N26 boats, crews and Niagara 26 lovers are welcomed. May the best boat win!
