Lightning Canadian Open Championship

The Montreal folk sailing in the Lightning class had representation at the Canadian Championship sailed July 30-31st at the Buffalo Canoe Club (Pic at right is 2004 Buffalo). I'm not familiar with this class sailing out of the RStLYC, but they had at least one team if not more. The 2004 Champions, Michael Holly, Valerie Tardif & Patrick Littee placed 9th overall in a regatta of 28 boats. The results show a lot of the class' very big names were in attendance. The first 6 placers were heavy hitters from the U.S.A. 7th place was taken by the well known Larry Macdonald in the top Canadian boat.
